Active CoolHyper Cooling System
On iPhone 17 Pro and Pro Max versions, an integrated silicone thermal pad and aluminum heat-spreading plate are designed to transfer heat from the CPU area toward the camera frame for passive heat dissipation.
Heat-Sensitive Color-Changing Indicator
The Pro and Pro Max versions feature a temperature-responsive visual indicator that changes from red at normal temperature toward yellow as the device heats up. This feature is not included in the iPhone Air version.
